Setting goals is super easy. The brain creates grand narratives, romanticizing the image of change, personifying resources to seem to act as dear and trusted friends. Yes, setting goals is easy. Going the process of completing, fulfilling, or achieving the goal is something else entirely. It is a whole other beast of burden. That is because that grand change held before is hard to hold in the day to day. It is hard to keep to goals when there are distractions and alternatives that are so tempting. It is also hard to go through the process because the brain can start to get bored, shocked, scared of what repercussions this change will have in the long-term.
If you have a goal that you are holding, but would like some help going through the processing of this goal, this is your spread. Written entirely from the perspective from being in the midst of goal completion, this tarot spread aims to help remind and support you. It is meant to be an ally, while highlighting some needed, honest messages that can help you in the long run. If you feel like you are in need of an ally, or need some support through this process, consider me and the cards here and ready.
This 5-card spread will help encourage your continuation, and provide some needed reminders and messages to help ease the weight of this trajectory. You will receive your spread as a written, word document, including pictures of your cards. You will also receive a personally created handout to help this spread, and your goal, sustain for the next few weeks or month. tea and tombstones (store manager) –
I’ve been going back and forth regarding a new business idea these past few months and decided it was time to get in touch with Ashlie for a tarot reading. After following Tea & Tombstones for some time, I am now wondering what took me so long.
The spread I chose was Goal Processing: The Journey to Completion. The five questions addressed seemed tailor made for my original question and the cards drawn gave me much clarity around it, along with more exciting ideas. Ashlie’s final thoughts brought everything together and her attached Goals Worksheet was an appreciated bonus.
I had my reading emailed to me so that I could print it out and really ponder it. Ashlie includes photos of the spread in this format, which I really appreciate as there are so many different decks out there these days. I have re-read it several times and will be having another reading by Ashlie when the spirit moves. They are now an integral part of my self awareness and self care journey. Thank you for all of the thought you put in to your work, Ashlie. You are an excellent reader!
